Welcome to Quincy Washington.

For more than 18 years, Quincy has been home to my wife, our kids, and me. It’s where we’ve raised our family, invested our time, and built lasting relationships across the community. Over the years, we’ve been actively involved in local programs and organizations including Girl Scouts, Quincy Valley Allied Arts, our local church, youth sports, public school and homeschool groups—giving us a front-row seat to the people, stories, and rhythms that make this area unique.

As a professional podcaster and storyteller, this page exists to connect my work with the place I know best. It serves as the home base for a local daily podcast and an upcoming community news and newsletter platform designed to highlight what’s happening in Quincy and the surrounding towns—sharing information, conversations, and context that matter to the people who live here. This isn’t about headlines from somewhere else; it’s about telling the story of our community, from the inside, with care, consistency, and respect.

Good Morning Quincy WA is a weekday morning podcast dedicated to keeping the heart of the Columbia Basin informed, connected, and smiling. Covering Quincy, Winchester, George, and Crescent Bar, this show focuses on the people, places, and stories that make our shared community feel like home.

Each episode is a short, easy-to-listen-to morning update (15–30 minutes, Monday through Friday), designed to fit perfectly into your coffee routine or commute. We’ll cover:

  • The local weather forecast
  • Upcoming and recent community events
  • School news, sports scores, music, drama, and activities
  • Updates from local police, fire, and emergency services
  • Town council and school board highlights
  • Free events from local businesses, churches, and community groups

Mondays take a deeper look at what happened around town over the weekend, while Fridays help you plan what’s ahead—games, events, gatherings, and ways to enjoy the coming days.

Good Morning Quincy WA isn’t about big-city headlines—it’s about our neighbors, our schools, and our community. Friendly, upbeat, and rooted in local pride, this show is your front-porch conversation for the start of every weekday.

Whether you’re a lifelong resident or new to the area, grab your coffee and start your day informed.

Support Local News in Quincy

Welcome to Quincy WA is currently a 2 part offering, but more is coming in later phases as we develop a well rounded communication platform to serve the 98848.

Good Morning Quincy WA is a locally produced daily newscast created to keep our community informed, connected, and proud of where we live. No corporate media. No outside agenda. Just local news for the 98848.

Life in Quincy WA will bring more in-depth coverage of news and events. While our NewsCast is meant to be short, easily digestible and a source to be in the know on wha is happening. Life In Quincy is where we can go deeper in to our community. Spotlight our people, our businesses and our amazing life here in the Quincy Valley.

This is sponsorship, not advertising.

Through Good Morning Quincy WA NewsCast, WelcomeToQuincyWA.com, and our growing distribution across social platforms, we are creating a centralized, daily flow of local information that people can actually rely on. That includes:

  • Daily local news and updates people can consume on their schedule

  • On-the-ground coverage of meetings and events most residents don’t have time to attend

  • Consistent visibility for local businesses, organizations, and initiatives

  • A platform that helps connect residents to what’s happening in their own community

This is just the beginning phase.

As the platform grows, the vision expands into something much larger:

  • A true hub for community information and engagement

  • Expanded coverage and deeper storytelling about the people and projects shaping the area

  • Stronger support for local economic growth through visibility and awareness

  • Tools and systems that help organizations communicate more effectively with the public

  • A long-term, sustainable model for rural local news

In a time when small communities are losing their newspapers and local coverage is disappearing, this isn’t just content—it’s infrastructure. And like any infrastructure, it only works when the community decides it matters enough to support.

Right now, we’re inviting a small group of Founding Sponsors and Community Sponsors who believe local news matters and want to help keep the show on the air and the local news coming. Traditional ads will come later as the audience grows—but this stage is about supporting the mission.

Your support helps cover:

  • Daily production and hosting

  • Equipment, software, and distribution

  • Consistent coverage of local schools, events, sports, and city updates

  • Movement into phase 3

Sponsors are acknowledged as Founding Sponsors and Community Sponsors with different benefit for each level. Each will be recognized for helping keep local news accessible and free for everyone. Sponsors will also enjoy free access inside the Life In Quincy WA Substack and Advanced Membership

If you believe Quincy deserves a reliable local voice, we’d love to have your support.
