For almost 20 years, the 98848 has been home for my wife, our kids, and myself. It’s where we’re raising our family, investing our time, and built lasting relationships across the community. Over the years, we’ve been actively involved in local programs and organizations including Girl Scouts, Quincy Valley Allied Arts, our local church, youth sports, public school and homeschool groups. This has given us a front-row seat to the people, stories, and rhythms that make this area unique.
As a professional podcaster, journalist and storyteller, this page exists to connect my work with the place I know best. It serves as the home base for a local daily newscast and our local news platform designed to highlight what’s happening in Quincy and the surrounding towns. A place sharing information, conversations, and context that matter to the people who live here. This isn’t about headlines from somewhere else; it’s about telling the story of our community, from the inside, with care, consistency, and respect.

Our community is a mix of English and Spanish speakers. The same community deserves access to relevant local information in both languages. We offer two versions of our morning newscast to make sure we are serving our whole community. Our Spanish edition is voiced by a local contributor; Grecia, strengthening clarity and community relevance. While for now, we rely on browsers capabilities to translate our news site.

Each episode is a short, easy-to-listen-to morning update (15–30 minutes, Monday through Friday), designed to fit perfectly into your coffee routine or commute. We’ll cover:
