What are the Odds: From Crack Addict to CEO – A Book Review

 What are the odds from crack addict to CEO by Mike Lindell, right off the bat, lemme tell you up front, I own two versions of this book. I have the paperback version, which has the incredible, uh, holographic cover, which is actually very unique. I’ve never had a book that had a holographic cover before.

It’s incredibly interesting because the cover has. Mike as we know him today as the CEO of a major company, and it has a picture of Mike when he was struggling with his drug addiction and it phases back and forth, which is actually very fascinating as well as having a picture of a young mike on the back and the CEO at a speaking event, uh, on the back cover.

The book has also got several pictures from Mike’s lifetime, which makes it very actually interesting, uh, because you get. Various spots in the book where it actually shares images of Mike’s life. As you go through these stories, as you go through the images, uh, you can connect the person, the places, and the events with all these incredible stories.

I also have the audio book version of this because I love audio books as well, and Mike Lindell does what one of my what, one of the things my favorite authors do, and that is. He read the book himself for the audio book. So you get to hear all of Mike’s exuberance, all of Mike’s infection. All of Mike’s experiences pour through his own voice as he goes through this incredible story.

And right at right at front, lemme tell you, it is an incredible story. Mike Lindell’s story, his autobiography, his his life sounds like something out of a Hollywood fiction. In fact, it’s stranger than fiction in some places where you have a hard time believing it’s true because it is just so wild and so far out there, which makes it highly interesting read.

So whether you like to read the book version or you like audio books, I like both. Uh, I. Highly recommend this book just right off the bat because it is fascinating. I’ve read a lot of biographies over the years, a lot of autobiographies, and by far, this is quite honestly one of the most interesting and impressive autobiographies or biographies I’ve ever read in my life.

And so let me compare this to some of you. Greatest think this is blasphemous. I think that Mike’s story is more interesting than that of like Abraham Lincoln, ’cause I’ve read his biography as well. So there are some very interesting people in the world, and Mike Lindell is definitely one of those. And you will find yourself as you read the story, understanding the title, what are the odds the title comes from, the fact that Mike had all these crazy, crazy stories and adventures and experiences in his lifetime that you as the reader just go.

Wow. That’s that’s so weird. There’s, there’s no way. What are the odds that he lived through that? What are the odds that the stars align like that? What are the odds that all this came together perfectly like that? What are the odds that you walk away from experience like that? And it becomes very clear where the book title came from.

If you enjoy an autobiography, this is a great story. This is an emotional rollercoaster because Mike takes you from his very early life to the where we are right now in history, which is fascinating to watch him go from this child with a not ideal life to one of the most wellknown in this country.

Whether you like him or whether you don’t like him, Mike, it’s a very polarizing figure for some people. But you can see the exact path that it took to get where he is today, which makes it very interesting. It is layered and layered with all these crazy stories. And I’ll give you an example ’cause I don’t wanna uh, ruin the book for you, but early in his life, Mike decided to go skydiving with some buddies.

He was on his motorcycle on the way to the airstrip and crashed his motorcycle, like told his motorcycle. And as a fellow motorcycle enthusiast, I know exactly what it’s like. Even in a good motorcycle wreck, you’re still pretty beat up. Mike continued on the airfield even though his bike was destroyed and went skydiving for the first time, and his parachute did not open all the way.

It wasn’t a complete failure, but it was not a full open, and so he hit the ground twice as hard as he should have. What are the odds to survive two accidents like that in one day? The odds of your parachute opening are not opening or astronomical as it is, but to have both those things happen in one day is insane.

Later in his life, Mike had experiences where he just. It felt totally, totally opposed and like everything was going down the toilet and a barrage of strangers called him and said, Hey, I don’t know why, but I felt like I should pray for you. I don’t know. People who did not know this man at all, were calling his company lying to talk to him because they felt like they needed to pray for him.

He had multiple calls in one night. When he was just ready to give up. Now the rest of the title, the subtitle from Crack Addict to COO is very, very accurate. Mike Lindell struggled with a cocaine and crack addiction for years, and the odds of him surviving all of that as well as being a professional card counter and many other interesting facts, him surviving so many years while hooked on some of the hardest drugs in the world.

Is insane. It’s hard to believe. Mike was a functioning addict for years and most people had no idea. Now, I don’t wanna ruin the rest of the story for you, but really I’m barely glazing the surface. Watch the birth or listen to or read the Birth of MyPillow company. All of us are familiar with whether you like them or not.

Watch the idea manifest in how he actually created the original things, ride mics, failures, and triumphs all the way to the White House. I promise you, if you enjoy a good autobiography, whether you like the man or not, this one will keep you going. Even if you aren’t a big fan of autobiographies, you’ll absolutely like the story is so interesting and so fascinating.

So engaging, you will just love this book. In fact, my daughter’s required to read an audiobiography for her schoolwork this year, and this is one of ’em she’s working on because I enjoyed it so much and share some of the stories with her, and she thought it was amazing. So a 13-year-old was fascinated by this book as well.

Guys, I absolutely recommend Mike Lindell’s autobiography. What are the Odds From Crack Addict to CEO? It is a great read, whether you listen to it in an audio book or whether you actually read the book. It is well worth your time. If nothing else, you’ll be entertained, I promise.
